About Three Birch Artworks
I'm a self-taught artist, sketching all my life. I retired in 2020, working over 30 years as a special education teacher.
I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have embarked on multiple journeys crisscrossing the vast expanse of the United States and Canada, weaving my way from the picturesque shores of Provincetown, Massachusetts, to the enchanting forests of upstate New York, exploring the pristine beauty of National Parks, and extending my adventures internationally.
In my diverse travels, I have discovered profound inspiration from the tranquil woods, the rhythmic waves of the ocean, and the boundless expanses of the outdoors, viewing these natural landscapes as sanctuaries of peace, solace, and serenity.
Harnessing my passion for the arts, I have employed various creative modalities to actively engage both my verbal and non-verbal students in the realm of academics.
Through the transformative power of painting, print-making, paper mache, tie-dying, woodworking, and a myriad of other artistic expressions, I have sought to create an immersive and enriching educational experience for my students, fostering a dynamic environment where creativity and learning intertwine seamlessly.
